We have already reached the second week of school!  We are off to a great start.  The student council, advisors, Mr. O'Dea and I planned a welcome back assembly this past week for students.  The theme was community of excellence.   We used the Olympic theme as a way to discuss the importance of dreams, goal-setting, role models, leadership and excellence.

The student council leaders introduced staff in an "opening ceremonies" tribute.  The entire school faculty was introduced from the gym floor with one purpose.  The purpose is to see that all students achieve at high levels.  In keeping with the theme of community, I introduced the Spartan PRIDE expectations.  Spartan PRIDE is a set of core values and actions we will take every day to ensure a safe, positive and healthy learning environment.   I have included the Spartan PLEDGE below.  Please take the time to review the common expectations established for all members of our learning community.

Spartan Pledge
Supporting our school community core values.
Preparedness
Ready for learning, having what you need to accomplish your goals.
Respect
Embracing of our differences, treating others as we wish to be treated.
Integrity
Doing the right thing at all times with honesty and authenticity
Determination
A firmness of purpose in everything you do, a willingness to overcome an obstacle.
Excellence
High expectations for all and in all we do and the courage to challenge for it.

  • I will bring a positive attitude and materials everywhere I go.
  • I will be considerate of others, their property, and myself.
  • I will do the right thing when no one is looking.
  • I will never give up.
  • I will challenge myself to do my best.
