(Please go to the district homepage and click on the link titled, "AdvancED Parent Survey")
Lunch Update:
The ID/lunch card has proven successful in week one. The scan card has moved students quickly through the payment line. It has virtually eliminated the line of students waiting to pay with food tray in hand. Phase two of our lunch improvement plan, is to add a second serving bay in the lunch line. Our goal is ensure every student has 15 minutes to to eat his/her lunch. The lunch staff does a great job of creating healthy meals each day. I am working with Lunch-Time Solutions Staff to continue to find solutions to minimize lunch line wait time. Our students have been enjoying a few minutes of fresh air outside each day after they each lunch. Students are free to go the patio and get a little exercise and/or hang out with friends. We have volleyballs, footballs, frisbees, four-square balls, chess and other things for students do. If you are interested in donating balls or other items for lunch, please email me at sbaier@spearfish.k12.sd.us.
