We are quickly approaching midterm of the final trimester which is Friday, April 11th.  In addition to midterm week, state testing also begins.  The 6th grade will start the Smarter-Balance this week and will conclude on April 17th.  There are some days in the window that students will not be testing.  On test days, only a portion of the day will be spent testing.  The D-Step Science test for  8th grade will take place on Thursday, April 10th.  Please avoid appointments or absences on testing days.  Students who miss testing on the schedules days will be required to participate in make up testing.  As always, please ensure students get plenty of rest and good nutrition.  See the calendar below for Smarter-Balanced testing dates that pertain to 7th and 8th grade.

Parents as Partners Meeting:  Next Meeting will be Monday, April 7th from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the SMS Library.  The meeting topic will focus on enrollment projections, new programming for next year and the End of the Year Student Celebration and Lunch.
