1)     No School, MLK Day & Teacher PD Day, Monday, Jan. 19 (pre-registration in HS)

2)      Block 4:  February 3-24 (8th band/choir included)
1/20-1/26: Register for Block 4  (Added an extra day for registration)
2/3: Beginning of Block 4
2/24: End of Block 4

3)      6th Grade Band/Choir Concert, Tuesday, Jan. 20th, 7pm – 8pm in the SHS Auditorium

4)     S4S Leaders Meeting, Wednesday, Jan. 21st during FLEX time (2:47-3:15 p.m.)

5)     Birthday Celebration for January/June Birthdays, Wed., Jan. 21st during lunches

6)      SMS Technology Committee Meeting, Wed., Jan. 21st, 3:25 p.m. in the conf. rm.

7)      January Staff Meeting, Thursday, Jan. 22, 7:30 a.m.

11)  Technology Request Deadline:  February 1st, the on-line form to be completed for each request can be found at http://www.spearfish.k12.sd.us/District/Forms/dist_forms.html and is in bold white type and listed as Technology Requests Form.  These must be completed by February 1. None will be accepted after that date.  No software requests will be accepted. That is a curriculum item.

12) Building Capital Outlay Requests:  Deadline is March 1st.  You must complete the Purchase Order form with appropriate information for your request to be considered.  (Request must be depreciable items (desks, equipment etc…, including software).

14)   Newspapers in Education: Pick up your papers on Wednesday morning from the Lounge.

15)  Communicate alignment of lesson plans to the curriculum standards on your teacher web pages. -This is tied to the K12 accreditation process.
