It was with a heavy heart that I shared the
following news last Friday. As many of
you know from the announcement I made at the voluntary staff meeting, I will be
moving to Mankato, MN in the role of elementary principal effective in June
2015. I cannot begin to put into words
how much I care for you and the students at Spearfish Middle School.
I have always tried to make decisions
motivated by what is best for my family.
After thoughtful consideration, the decision to go has everything to do
with family. You are an amazing group of
educators. I have cherished our time
together. You have done extraordinary
things to make this a great place for kids to learn and grow. Please reflect on your role in making this a
great place to work and learn. You need
each other on this journey. In my remaining
time with you, I will do everything possible to set you and the next leader up
for success. Thank you, Shane
You are welcome to share information
with your students as you see fit.
